Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I get my car serviced?

We recommend you follow your vehicle’s  manufacturer recommendations for maintenance at specific milage intervals. We are happy to  provide this informaton for you. .

Is it safe to drive with a check engine light?

If it’s on but the vehicle drives normally, you can usually drive a short time—schedule service soon. If it’s blinking, don’t drive it.

How do I know if my brakes need replacing?

Look for signs like squealing noises or increased stopping distances. Grinding/squealing, pulsation while braking, or a spongy/hard pedal are common signs.

Do I need an appointment for a state inspection?

No. Inspections are first come, first served during inspection hours of 7:00 am to 11:30am and 1:00pm to 5:30pm

What vehicles do you work on?

Most major makes (Ford, Chevy, Nissan, Mazda, Buick, Subaru, and more). For some specialty European repairs (like deeper engine diagnostics on BMW/Mercedes), call us to confirm.

How often should I get an oil change?

Synthetic blend: about every 3 months / 3,000 miles. Full synthetic: about every 5 months / 5,000 miles.

What should I do if my check engine light comes on?

It's a warning; bring your car in for diagnostics to identify the issue promptly.

Can you service hybrid or electric vehicles?

Most major makes (Ford, Chevy, Nissan, Mazda, Buick, Subaru, and more). For some specialty European repairs (like deeper engine diagnostics on BMW/Mercedes), call us to confirm.

Do you start work without permission?

No. If we find anything additional, we’ll call or text you with an updated estimate. We don’t move forward until you approve it—no surprise work.

I’ve been burned by a shop before—how do I know I can trust you?

We focus on honest recommendations, clear communication, and transparency. We’ll explain what we find in plain language and give you options—so you can make the best decision for your vehicle and budget.

How will I stay updated during the repair?

We keep you informed through calls or texts, and we can send photos/videos when helpful so you know exactly what’s going on with your vehicle.

How often should I rotate my tires?

We recommend rotating your tires at least every 6,000 miles. Typically, you would rotate your tires when you get your oil changed. If your vehicle  takes synthetic oil you should rotate your tires at every oil change, if your vehicle takes non synthetic oil, you should rotate your tires every other oil change

How often should I get my vehicle aligned?

Have your vehicle aligned every 6 months/6,000 miles., to ensure even tire wear and proper handling. It is strongly recommended to get an alignment immediately after purchasing new tires, experiencing a significant impact  like a curb or pothole, or if you notice your vehicle pulling to one side

Can I supply my own parts?

No - because we cannot guarantee the quality or  compatibility of the parts.
